neXwork nominated for the Busworld Innovation Voting 2025
Konvekta AG is presenting its latest development for electric buses at Busworld Europe 2025 in Brussels (Hall 5, Booth 508): the intelligent CO₂ climate network neXwork. With this technology, Konvekta is setting a milestone regarding energy efficiency, sustainability, and digitalization – and has been shortlisted for the Busworld Innovation Voting 2025.
LeadControl – an intelligent control system as a core competence
The system is based on proven CO₂ heat pump technology and completes it with key innovations. Its core competence is the “LeadControl” control technology developed by Konvekta, which records data such as outside temperature, battery status, and air quality in real time and dynamically adjusts the air conditioning. Over 500 parameters can be configured individually, giving vehicle manufacturers and operators maximum flexibility. Software updates and diagnostics are done online, enabling maximum operational reliability with reduced maintenance costs.
More power through intelligent refrigerant control
Another key technology within the neXwork system is the patented refrigerant charge balancing technology. The system works with two circuits—one for heating and one for cooling. In heating mode, the refrigerant is transferred from the inactive cooling circuit to the active heating circuit so that the optimum quantity is always available. This increases the heating output in winter by up to ten percent. At the same time, the entire system runs more smoothly, the load on the components is reduced, and their service life is extended.
neXwork is supplemented by additional modules such as AES, which completely replaces the electric auxiliary heater. The battery temperature control ensures safe rapid charging, while the Energy Collect recovery module and an internal heat exchanger ensure additional efficiency.
Field-proven with more than 10,000 systems
More than 10,000 CO₂ heat pumps from Konvekta are already in daily use - in European cities such as Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Zurich, and Brussels. Field measurements show savings of up to 57% in energy consumption thanks to thermal management - a basis on which neXwork has been consistently further developed.
With its market introduction scheduled for 2026, Konvekta is presenting a solution that is not only PFAS-free and therefore secure against future regulatory restrictions, but also significantly improves the range and cost effectiveness of electric buses.
Busworld Europe 2025 offers the opportunity to get to know neXwork in detail for the first time. Konvekta invites trade visitors to come to Booth 508 in Hall 5 and see the advantages of the technology for themselves.
